It's been a BIG year for AFSCME Council 5, your union at work! We're excited to announce the release of our 2024 Annual Report, and it’s jam-packed with the incredible strides YOU helped make possible. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, there’s never been a more important time to remind ourselves of the power of our union—and the power of your membership. Because of you, we’ve continued our fight to improve wages, secure safe staffing, push for life-changing legislation, organize new workplaces, and ensure that every one of us is treated with the dignity and respect we deserve.

• Demanding dignity and respect for the vital work you do every day to Make Minnesota Happen!

And guess what? We’re only just getting started! We have crafted a strategic plan to guide  our beloved AFSCME Council 5 into our next 20 years, focusing on what matters most—you, our members! This means more resources for local unions, stronger support to help you win your fights, and a commitment to growing our movement even bigger and bolder, more visible and inclusive.

In this annual report, you’ll see the blueprint for our future—one that’s driven by solidarity, action, and an unshakable belief in the power of union membership. We won’t stop fighting for your rights, your families, and your communities because we know the work we do today builds the foundation for tomorrow.
