State Precinct Caucus

February 03
State Precinct Caucus
When: 7:00PM - 9:00PM

AFSCME Members,

The upcoming 2026 elections will be critically important for workers and labor unions. In Minnesota, all state offices are on the ballot, along with eight U.S. House races, one U.S. Senate race, and numerous local races. The election process begins with party precinct caucuses, which will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 7:00 pm. All political parties hold their caucuses at this time.

Each political party chooses its own caucus location. You can find your caucus location using the MN Secretary of State’s Caucus Finder.

Precinct caucuses are the first step in shaping elections. Participants select delegates to party conventions, help choose candidates, and set party platforms—defining the issues and values that will guide the election. Only about two percent of eligible voters participate, which means that those who do have an outsized influence on endorsements and party priorities.

This is a prime opportunity to make sure labor voices are heard. By participating, AFSCME members can help secure endorsements for pro-labor candidates and ensure our issues remain front and center in this critical election cycle.

Don’t miss your chance to make a difference! Mark your calendar for February 3rd and attend your precinct caucus!
