DOTH Town Hall Info/Training

When: 12:00PM - 1:30PM

The Minnesota legislative session convenes on Tuesday, February 17 where decisions will be made that directly impact our jobs, our pay, and the public services we provide. That’s why AFSCME Council 5 is hosting a Day on the Hill information session via Zoom, and you’re invited to attend.

This introductory session will explain what Day on the Hill is, why it matters, and how state workers can effectively advocate during the legislative session, even if you’ve never done it before. You’ll learn how AFSCME members push back against harmful proposals and fight for:

  • Investments that improve workers’ livelihoods
  • Policies that protect public services
  • Funding for the critical work we do every day

This is a great opportunity to understand how AFSCME Council 5 shows up at the Capitol and why member participation is essential. When we act together, we make a real difference.
