First, we urge everyone: Please stay home if you are sick.1. Hennepin County NEEDS to declare immediate Emergency Pandemic Leave for our workers who cannot work or cannot work remotely due to illness, caring for children or elderly or displaced from work (not to be taken from current accruals and not to be paid back) or in the event of reduced operations or closed County buildings.

2. Hennepin County NEEDS to close all Human Service Hubs, Service Centers, and Libraries immediately to keep workers and the community safe!
The Commissioners will be holding a Committee meeting on Tuesday March 17th at 1:30.  They have the capacity to take up Emergency Administrative Leave and other issues around the Coronavirus at that time.New guidance from the CDC on 3/16/2020 is clear: “In states with evidence of community transmission, bars, restaurants, food courts, gyms, and other indoor or outdoor spaces where groups of people congregate should be closed."
