Megan Zeilinger

I’m Megan Zeilinger and am most recently the President of Local 306.  I’ve been working at Dakota County for 12 years in Social Services for our Housing and Community Resources section as a Program Coordinator.

I’ve been a union member since coming to the county and signed on to be a steward and quickly became Chief Steward where I served until becoming Vice President, and most recently, the President.  I love being active in the union and pushing to make Dakota County a better place to work for everyone we hire.  At times it is incredibly challenging but at other times incredibly energizing.  I’m very afraid of what would come of our work if we didn’t have a union for checks and balances and encourage anyone with passion for advocacy, workplace culture, equity and fairness to get involved!
