First Round: City of St. Paul AFSCME Endorsement Screenings

AFSCME's East Metro PEOPLE Committee has set a date for it's first round of screenings in St. Paul races for School Board and City Council. The AFSCME East Metro PEOPLE committee is chaired by Willie Snyder of local 707, and all committee members are appointed by the AFSCME Council 5 President.
WHAT: This is the first round of AFSCME Council 5 Endorsement Screenings for School Board candidates along with candidates in Ward 2, 3 and 5.
WHEN: Thursday Feb 28th. Food at 5:30PM, Screenings starting at 6pm (Should be wrapped up shortly after 9pm)
WHERE: AFSCME Council 5 office (300 Hardman Ave S., South St. Paul MN, 55075)
Screenings are only open to AFSCME members. Only PEOPLE committee members may vote on endorsement recommendations, but discussion is open to all members who attend. Any potential members who haven't signed a union card yet will be able to sign a card to become an AFSCME member at the screening.
It is IMPERATIVE that participants RSVP to this event, either by emailing Laura Askelin or by registering online.
Screenings for Wards 2, 6 and 7 will be announced when we get closer to their conventions, which are held in April and May. The City Convention will take place in June.
