Customized Training

The Education Department is committed to programs that strengthen local union development. This includes leadership development, increasing activism among members and building power through union building. We believe the best way to do this is to customize the training according to the local needs. We invite local officers to confer about how we can help your Union become more active and visible. Below is a sample of training that can be developed for your local union.

Union Building Workshops

  • Talking to co-workers one on one
  • Organizing around issues
  • Union building
  • Union 101
  • Local Union Development
  • Setting up Brown Bag meetings
  • Mapping your Workplace
  • Site Visits and Organizing Days

Others by Request

  • Executive Board
  • Negotiations
  • Contract Campaigns
  • Strike Preparation
  • Labor Relations
  • Family Medical Leave Act
  • Facilitation Requests
  • Bullyism in the Workplace
