Contracts Ratified by Hennepin AFSCME

Congratulations to 4,100 AFSCME members from Hennepin County Locals 34, 552,1719, 2822, 2864 and 2938! They ratified new two-year contracts on Dec. 4. The deal provides step increases in 2010, retains stability pay in both 2010 and 2011, prevents outsourcing of social service and probation jobs, and provides employees who carry individual health coverage and who earn $18 an hour or less a $300 payment to help offset insurance costs.

AFSCME locals and Hennepin County reached a tentative agreement on November 17 at 1:30 AM.  Members will be able to vote on the agreement Thursday, December 3, 2009.
