Over a thousand AFSCME jobs will be lost at the state and at local governments unless the state budget crisis is addressed meaningfully this session. Minnesota is at a crossroads between continuing to slide backwards in our public services, or reinvesting in our state and its people.
February 17 DOTH will be the kick off to our work this session but AFSCME members will be very active at the Capitol, in legislator’s home districts, and at our phone banks during the entire 2010 session - just like we did last session.
DOTH 2010 will start and end at our location for the last couple years, the Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront, 11 E. Kellogg Blvd, St. Paul MN 55101 (888-565-6152 or 651-292-1900).
